Active Voice

www.chamberofcommerce.com
Yesterday was productive! A Google Doc spreadsheet holds the beginning notes for the ever-evolving gourd  and papercutting project. The active voice lesson helps make the notes direct and to the point. For example, one of the notes in the spreadsheet began as passive voice [Three hundred dollars is the price of a gourd banjo. (Sholder)]. Taking out the 'is' produces a direct statement of fact. [A gourd banjo can cost $300+. (Sholder)] The sentence now has a clear message that gets to the point.
